Joggling Streak Update – Day 77

On a quest to joggle at least one mile every day for 1000 days in a row.

Summary: I was working on creating this video for a reality show about athletes sponsored by Gatorade, so I didn’t get much time for joggling. I went later in the day and it was much colder than the day time. I did a quick recovery run however. A full 2 minutes faster than another recent one. One other thing weighs on my mind. I weighed over 200 lbs today! Don’t know how I could’ve possibly gained so much weight. I just can’t believe it!!! Need to run more, eat less.

Weather: 21 F but it felt much colder.

Distance: 1.56 mi – Bucktown Recovery loop

Time: 6:33 pm

Run time: 11:58

Listening to: Skeptics Guide to the Universe

Weight: 200 lbs

Drops: 1 – Just lost concentration for a moment.

Condition: Felt good. No pains, lots of energy.
No joggling video but here’s a video from the ski trip that you might find amusing.

  1. Have a question: I enjoyed talking to others runners while joggling my last half marathon. It made the time go fast and it was fun and relaxing, plus helping with pacing since can’t look at watch that much. Would you advise me to go ahead and talk throughout the race, or not do much talking to conserve energy? I found that it gave me energy, as long as I didn’t overdo it. Any thoughts?

  2. I think talking to other people is fine. I do it in marathons often. Usually, just the first half though. There isn’t much talking going on in the second half.

  3. I agree with you. And, I forgot how silent people get in the second half 🙂 Maybe, I’ll just talk to myself or my juggling balls the last 13 miles.
